A Chicago basketball legend, Ronnie Fields’ journey to greatness began during his high school years at Farragut Career Academy. As a three time Parade All American from 1994-1996, Fields wowed fans and opponents alike with his exceptional talent on the court. His electrifying dunks and scoring prowess made him one of the most celebrated high school players in the nation.
Following his standout high school career, Fields continued to shine in the professional ranks. He showcased his skills in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), further solidifying his status as a basketball icon.
Despite facing challenges with a life altering injury suffered at the end of his high school career, Fields’ passion for the game remained unwavering. Today, as a coach and mentor with his Ronnie Fields Elite club team and program, he shares his vast basketball knowledge and experiences to nurture the next generation of players.
Inducted into The Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame, Ronnie Fields’ legacy is celebrated not only for his amazing high school career but also for his accomplishments in professional basketball and his dedication to developing young talent. His impact on the basketball world, from his high school All American days to his present role as a mentor, continues to inspire and uplift the basketball community in Chicago and beyond.
