Sarah Kustok

Sarah Kustok, one of Chicago’s most beloved sportscasters, has been a familiar face on the airwaves ever since transitioning from a successful collegiate basketball career to broadcasting. A standout at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, she excelled in both volleyball and basketball, earning recognition as the Chicago Sun-Times 2000 Girls High School Basketball Player of the Year.

At DePaul University, Sarah built on her athletic success, playing basketball from 2000 to 2004 as a team captain and later as an assistant coach under Doug Bruno. She graduated with a degree in Communications/Media Studies in 2004 and later completed a Master’s in Corporate and Multicultural Communication at DePaul in 2010. Known for her sharpshooting skills, Sarah ranked 7th on DePaul’s all-time three-point shooting percentage list.

Her broadcasting career began with ESPN, where she worked as a sideline reporter for college football and covered basketball. In 2009, she joined Comcast SportsNet Chicago, quickly becoming a fan favorite for her work on “SportsNet Central” and her coverage of teams like the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox. Recently, Sarah took her talents to the YES (Yankees, Entertainment, and Sports) Network in New York as an anchor/reporter.

Sarah’s rise from the court to the newsroom has been marked by her dedication, professionalism, and ability to connect with fans, cementing her place as one of the most admired figures in sports media.
