Kurt Becker, a Chicago Bears legend and 1985 Super Bowl Champion, turned his childhood passion for the Bears into a remarkable football career. A standout athlete from East Aurora High School in Illinois, Kurt excelled in football, wrestling, and track. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Michigan, where he was a four-year letterman, team co-captain, and a two-time All-Big Ten honoree.
Drafted in 1981, Kurt played nine seasons as a guard in the NFL, contributing to one of the Bears’ greatest offensive lines alongside legends like Walter Payton and Jim McMahon. His dedication to football didn’t stop there—Kurt has devoted over 15 years to coaching young athletes, running summer football camps, and mentoring students at local schools. Currently, he coaches at Marmion Academy in Aurora, continuing to inspire the next generation of players.
Kurt’s contributions extend beyond the field, demonstrating his gratitude for the opportunities football has given him by nurturing young talent and building community programs.
