Jack O'Callahan
Chicago Blackhawks, USA Olympics

Jack O’Callahan, celebrated for his tenacity and skill, was a crucial member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team, famously known for the “Miracle on Ice” victory over the Soviet Union. His gritty play helped propel the U.S. team to win the gold medal in what is often hailed as the greatest sports moment of the 20th century.

Before his Olympic triumph, O’Callahan excelled as an All-American at Boston University, where he captained the NCAA championship team in 1978, earning MVP honors, and also led the 1979 team as the school’s top student-athlete. Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1977, he went on to play nine professional seasons, including stints with the New Jersey Devils and U.S. national teams.

Post-hockey, O’Callahan became a leader in finance, serving as President of Beanpot Financial Services since 1992, while remaining active in the Chicagoland community. As an Executive Board Member of the Chicago Blackhawk Alumni Foundation, he supports numerous charitable initiatives. Jack lives with his wife Jenny and their two adult children, Rachael and Aaron.
