Christian Okoye, born in Enugu, Nigeria, is a former NFL running back who had a notable career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Known as the ‘Nigerian Nightmare,’ Okoye was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and led the NFL in rushing yards in 1989. We are proud to award him our Gale Sayers award for his powerful running style and remarkable achievements on the field.
