Cappie Pondexter

Cappie Pondexter, a Chicago native, attended John Marshall Metropolitan High School and has cemented herself in WNBA history as one of the best to ever play the game. The 5-foot-9 guard is a two-time WNBA champion, seven-time WNBA All-Star, 2008 United States Olympic gold medal winner and 2007 WNBA Finals MVP. Before Pondexter made her mark on the WNBA, she lead Rutgers University to back-to-back BIG EAST regular season championships in 2005 and 2006 which ended in Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen appearances in the NCAA tournament, respectively. She finished second in school history for points and field goals and became the first four-time All-BIG EAST first-team selection in conference history. The Chicago-made Pondexter returned home to play for the Sky in 2015 and has etched her name all over the league’s record books. She is currently the only player in league history in the top-five for points, field goals and two-point field goals. She is also fifth in assists, sixth in free throws made and 11th in three-point field goals. Off the court, Pondexter broke into the fashion industry when she launched a New York-based company named, 4 Season Style Management, a firm that provides fashion styling and image consulting as well as personal shopping for celebrities.
