Class of 2022
Brian Urlacher
Gale Sayers Award

Brian Urlacher spent 12 successful years with the Chicago Bears as a linebacker from 2000-2012. He is known as one of the NFL’s most productive defensive players, winning the NFL Rookie of the Year Award in 2000. During his career, he was selected to eight Pro Bowls, recognized as a first-team All-Pro four times, and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2005. His playing style, accomplishments, and reputation made him one of the Chicago Bears’ most popular players. This exact attitude also earned him this year’s Gayle Sayers award, an award given annually to players that exemplified the values of Sayers both on and off the field.
