Weick coached internationally with the San Francisco Olympic Club from 1961-65 and later joined U.S. Olympic teams in various coaching roles, contributing to the 1972, 1980, 1984, and 1988 games. He also coached at the Pan American Games, World Championships, and World University Games.

In high school wrestling, Weick’s legacy is unparalleled, boasting a 749-112-2 record. His career spanned roles at Maquoketa High in Iowa and Illinois schools, including Tilden Tech, Mt. Carmel, and Brother Rice, where he continues to coach. Weick is a member of numerous halls of fame, including the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and was named Illinois Coach of the Year in 1984.
