Eric Steinbach, a true football prodigy, left an indelible mark on the sport as a high school and college All-American. Excelling at Providence Catholic in New Lennox and later at the University of Iowa, his talent and dedication earned him accolades and admiration from fans and peers alike.

As a Hawkeye he was honored as the 2002 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, first-team All-Big Ten by league coaches and media in 2002 and first-team All-Big Ten by coaches in 2001. As a versatile offensive lineman, Steinbach’s remarkable skills and work ethic led him to a successful NFL career spanning nine seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns.

His impressive stats and consistent performance on the field were a testament to his unwavering commitment to the game. Recently, he received well-deserved recognition with his induction into the Iowa Hawkeye Hall of Fame. Now, as he joins The Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame, Eric Steinbach’s legacy as an accomplished player and role model continues to inspire the next generation of football stars.
